The buttons are not interchangeable

Google distinguishes temporary cache removal from permanent deletion of app data through Clear storage. The next launch after cache removal may be slower. Manufacturers may use labels such as Clear data; read the confirmation.

Prepare recovery before cleanup

1. Record app version, error and time; check an ordinary page on the same network.
2. Confirm account recovery and official saving options for custom settings. Keep configuration links and passwords private.
3. Find this app’s storage page in system settings and identify both buttons; avoid unknown cleanup utilities.
4. If cache removal is needed, clear only cache, reopen and compare the same page/network once without changing DNS or route.
5. Before support-directed storage deletion, prepare login, permissions and setup again. Stop if recovery is uncertain; consult IT on managed devices.
6. If access still fails, continue connection-scope checks. Repeated data deletion does not establish a server repair.
